Minneapolis, MINN–Spring 2008–Diversified Plastics, Inc. has received the Minnesota Green Star Facility Award from the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency. The award was given following an audit by the agency of Diversified Plastics facilities acknowledging compliance with all applicable environmental requirements. Diversified Plastics is the first injection molder in Minnesota to receive this award.
The Green Star Award is given to a select group of manufacturers with recognition for their stewardship in managing hazardous waste and disposal to ensure protection of human health and the environment.
“Receiving the Minnesota Green Star award is true testimony that Diversified Plastics recognizes and manages its facilities and resources with care for the community, its citizens and the environment as a whole,” stated Annette Lund, vice president of the company. “Our employees share in this important accomplishment and for that we are very proud.”

The 30 year-old company is an ISO 9001:2000 UL registered manufacturer with high speed automated molding machines up to 550 tons. It molds engineering and high performance grade materials including PPS, PEEK, Torlon, Ultem and many others.
