Minneapolis, MN–February 19, 2009–North Hennepin Area Chamber of Commerce recognized Diversified Plastics, Inc. with the “Images of Excellence” award in the large business category at the Chamber’s recent Winter Gala ceremony. This award recognizes the outstanding contributions of Chamber member businesses that have made a positive impact towards development of the North Hennepin County area.

Diversified Plastics has consistently demonstrated its dedication to the development of new products by taking on tough and unique projects. From high-precision parts for the medical device industry, to complex injection mold designs for water filter applications, their unquestionable reputation has enabled the company to grow into new and expanding markets. “It’s an honor to be recognized for our hard work and accomplishments by the community,” said Annette Lund, vice president at Diversified Plastics. “This award represents our dedication to creativity and innovation, and validates our customers’ confidence that we will be a valuable partner in the future”.

A contributing factor to this award was the recognition of Diversified Plastics as a recipient of the Green Star Facility Award from the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency. Diversified Plastics was commended in 2008 for their stewardship in managing waste and protecting human health and the environment. They were the first injection molder in Minnesota to receive this award.
